DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION/CO-FOUNDER:
Sheryl is the author of Expressions Through Drama, a manual of drama lesson plans on conflict resolution, and was one of the authors of the drama/theatre curriculum guide published by the Kansas Department of Education. In 2012 she was invited back for the curriculum re-writes. She has taught drama for 44 years in theatres and public and private schools and colleges. Sheryl developed Theatre for Young America’s Outreach Workshop Program which goes to students in hundreds of classrooms each year. In 1997-98 she served as state chairman of “Theatre in the Schools Month”, a program of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education. Sheryl ha a Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas and is also a member of Actor’s Equity Association with over 75 plays performed at TYA.
