Vickie Little


Vickie received her BA in Theatre from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and was a co-founder of two area theater companies: InPlay, a multi-ethnic theatre company, and New Directions Theatre Company. Vickie has composed music and written lyrics for early childhood productions at TYA. She has acted in a number of plays at TYA, including In the Footsteps of Freedom with Harriet Tubman, Starring Abe Lincoln, Heidi, The Adventures of Madeline, In the Sunlight of Athens, In a Greek World, and Frederick Douglass: Deliverance from Chains. Vickie has been a teacher in the TYA outreach programs. She has also appeared locally at Quality Hill Playhouse, New Directions Theatre Company, InPlay Theatre, Alanz Theatre, the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, Kansas City Repertory Theatre (when it was still known as Missouri Repertory), and Missouri Legends Productions in local historical re-enactments.  She was a Resident Actress at TYA from 1992 through 2000.  From June of 2013 through early January of 2014, Vickie interacted with visitors as a “real pirate” in National Geographic’s Real Pirates exhibit at Union Station Kansas City.
